Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update Hits Samsung Galaxy Tab

After months of waiting for Marshmallow update to hit Galaxy Tab S2, AT&T has finally released the marshmallow update which is the latest Android 6.0.1 to Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (T817A variants.

The size of marshmallow update is 1.07GB.
Apart from the usual features that marshmallows do come with, this particular update includes a feature called NumberSync, which lets you use your tablet to make and receive voice and video calls using your existing mobile number. The feature works even if your smartphone isn't with you.

What to expect after the update
Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application (from the Play Store), prior to upgrading the software.

You can't downgrade to Android Lollipop once updated to the new version, Android Marshmallow.

To update the software

Make sure your device is sufficiently charged and connected to Wi-Fi.

Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the Settings icon.

Scroll down to and tap
About device >

Software update >

Check for updates.

Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.

The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs. erify the update
